Born in Baltimore, Maryland, a suggestion from an English teacher to explore acting led him to audition for a small role in the play "Whatever Happened to Jacob Marley?" at Fell's Point Corner Theatre, marking the beginning of his journey in the world of theatre.
Following high school, he worked as an extra in local film and television productions, including "Liberty Heights", "Something the Lord Made", and "The Wire", as well as a few independent films. This experience was soon followed by an internship with the Contemporary American Theater Festival in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, where he refined his acting skills and developed a professional discipline.
During his time at CATF, he simultaneously pursued a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications at Shepherd University, honing his craft through plays produced by the university's theater department. After graduation, he relocated to Chicago to attend the MFA Acting program at The Theatre School at DePaul University.
Before graduating from DePaul, he secured representation and immediately landed two back-to-back shows at Court Theatre, as well as a recurring co-star role on the television series BOSS, opposite Sanaa Lathan, and a series regular role on the Onion's hit web series Sex House, all within a year of graduating.
The following year, he booked two back-to-back shows at the world-renowned Steppenwolf Theatre Company, in addition to a handful of television shows and commercials. With a thriving career in Chicago, he plans to relocate to Los Angeles in the Spring of 2015, marking a new chapter in his professional journey.
