CHI Po-lin, a dedicated and passionate individual, initially pursued a career as a public servant, serving as an aerial photographer in the Taiwan Area National Expressway Engineering Bureau (TANEEB). In his free time, he devoted himself to capturing stunning digital aerial images of Taiwan's breathtaking environment, showcasing the island's natural beauty from a unique perspective.
However, a devastating event changed the course of his life forever. The catastrophic aftermath of Typhoon Morakot's rampage through Taiwan in 2009 had a profound impact on CHI Po-lin, prompting him to leave his government job and establish a full-time production team, Taiwan Aerial Imaging, Inc. His vision was to create the first-ever aerial photography documentary about Taiwan, titled "Beyond Beauty: Taiwanfrom Above".
With unwavering dedication and perseverance, CHI Po-lin poured his heart and soul into the project, capturing the island's stunning landscapes, diverse ecosystems, and vibrant culture from a bird's-eye view. His tireless efforts culminated in the creation of a breathtaking documentary that showcased Taiwan's natural beauty in a way that had never been seen before.
Tragically, CHI Po-lin's life was cut short in a helicopter accident while filming a full-length sequel to "Beyond Beauty". His legacy lives on through his remarkable work, inspiring future generations to appreciate and protect the natural wonders of Taiwan.
