Biography

Charlie Yeung's remarkable journey in the entertainment industry began in 1993 when she was cast in a jewelry commercial alongside pop idol Aaron Kwok. This marked the starting point of her versatile career, which would span multiple decades.

Within a year, Yeung made her film debut in the critically acclaimed director Wong Kar-Wai's "Ashes of Time," and released her first album, which earned her the prestigious "Most Promising Newcomer" award.

Over the next four years, Yeung continued to release albums in both Hong Kong and Taiwan, while also developing her acting career by working with renowned directors such as Tsui Hark, Jacob Cheung, and Wong Kar-Wai again on the film "Fallen Angels."

Her rapid rise to fame and success in such a short span created a phenomenal following, but just when she reached the peak of her career, Yeung decided to take a break to pursue her real interests in image consulting. During this time, she remained active in the industry by providing her voice for several films, including Hark Tsui's animation "A Chinese Ghost Story: The Tsui Hark Animation" and Disney's "Tarzan."

After a hiatus, Yeung returned to the big screen, and her recent appearance in Jackie Chan's latest box-office hit, "New Police Story," has once again showcased her remarkable talent.
