Chanelle is a proud managing member of the New Negress Film Society (NNFS),a collective-run film production company that places the lives and experiences of Black women and girls at its core.
Prior to her role at NNFS, Chanelle held the position of senior producer and chief operating officer at MVMT, a Brooklyn-based film production company responsible for an impressive array of over 18 film and digital projects.
These projects include the critically acclaimed films An Oversimplification of Her Beauty (2012),Brooklyn is Masquerading as the World (2015),The Way it Should Be (2015),They Charge for the Sun (2016),195 Lewis (2017),and Random Acts of Flyness (2018).
Chanelle's dedication to amplifying the voices and stories of marginalized communities began in her early career as a policy researcher, analyst, and community organizer.
She holds a bachelor's degree from DePauw University and went on to earn a master of public administration from New York University.
Today, Chanelle continues to work and reside in her hometown, The Bronx, where she remains deeply committed to her work and the communities she serves.
