Person Biography:
Chanel Marriott was born and raised in Perth, Western Australia. She began her acting career at the age of seven and moved to professional acting at 13, starring in the Australian children's television series "Lockie Leonard". The series was a huge success, winning two awards and receiving nine nominations.
Chanel attended Penrhos College and participated in the school's annual Dramafest, winning Best Play every year. She earned four distinctions in consecutive years from 2007 to 2009 at LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) examinations and won two trophies at the AMEB Perth Speech & Drama Festival in 2008 and 2010.
Chanel has starred in numerous film productions, including "Shanghai-La", "Demons", "The Man Who Loved Bears", "Swim", "Frog Boy", "Duty Of Care", and "Born Again Heathen". She has also appeared in multiple award-winning feature films, such as "Needle" and "Ravin's Cabin".
In theatre productions, Chanel has appeared in "Clark in Sarajevo", "Peter Pan", "The Miracle Worker", "Angel's Children", "Hush Little Celia", and "Lords & Ladies". She was nominated for The Paul Treasure Acting Award at the age of 13 and won the Dramafest Award for Best Play.
In 2011, Chanel moved to Los Angeles and booked lead roles in several productions, including "Penny Arcade", "Only in Hollywood", "After The Detention", "Siblings", "Jessica", "Invisible Love", and "Black Sugar". She has also guest-starred in the CBS television series "Hawaii Five-0" and booked the lead role of Lynx in the action/sci-fiction pilot series "Subject 5".
Chanel has been nominated for several awards, including The Young Artist Awards and The Gala Youth Event. She won Best Performance Lead Actress at The 35th Annual Young Artist Awards for her portrayal of Penny in the film "Penny Arcade".
