Sung-Young Chen, a renowned Taiwanese actor and director, entered this world on July 1, 1941, in the vibrant city of Taipei, located in the heart of Taiwan. Born in the bustling metropolis, Chen's early life was undoubtedly shaped by the unique cultural and societal landscape of his hometown. Throughout his illustrious career, he has left an indelible mark on the world of cinema, with his most notable works including the critically acclaimed film "A City of Sadness" (1989),the thought-provoking "Wu hu si hai" (1992),and the emotionally charged "That Vital Organ" (1991).
