CeCe Pleasants, a talented individual from Mechanicsville, Virginia, made the bold decision to relocate to New York City immediately after high school to pursue her dreams at the prestigious American Musical and Dramatic Academy.
Following her graduation, she embarked on an unconventional journey, trading the bright lights of Broadway for the quiet, rustic surroundings of the Amish community in Nappanee, Indiana, where she performed in musicals at the Round Barn Theater.
After returning to Manhattan, Pleasants made a seamless transition from musical theater to stand-up and sketch comedy, captivating audiences in clubs throughout New York City and even taking her talents to the 1-9 train as part of the acclaimed guerrilla theater series "Subway Soaps".
As a creative force, she wrote and performed several original sketch comedy shows, while also honing her skills as a writer and developer at the Oxygen network.
In 2001, Pleasants made the move to Los Angeles, where she continued to hone her stand-up and sketch comedy skills while focusing on television writing.
When not busy with her various creative pursuits, Pleasants is a passionate advocate for a variety of hobbies, including macrame, first aid, doll collecting, and other activities deemed "lady-appropriate".
