Cathy Worthington's life journey began in Washington D.C., where she was born to a father who bravely served in World War II and a mother raised in the charming state of North Carolina.
With her family in tow, Cathy relocated to Riverside, California, where her father worked as an Electronics Engineer for the government, and her mother dedicated herself to being a homemaker. As the eldest of three siblings, with two younger brothers, Cathy's childhood was filled with love, support, and a strong sense of family.
As she grew older, Cathy's passion for the performing arts led her to attend the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA),where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater. During her time at UCLA, Cathy landed her first professional film role, a testament to her early talent and dedication.
Immediately after graduation, Cathy was hired as a Playboy Bunny in the Century City LA Club, a unique opportunity that allowed her to pay the bills while pursuing her acting dreams. Although she was privy to exclusive Mansion parties, Cathy remains tight-lipped about her experiences, fueling speculation and intrigue.
While working at the Club, Cathy met her future husband, who was managing an act performing at the venue. The couple's love blossomed, and they would later build a life together.
Cathy's love affair with horses began early, and she started taking dressage lessons after acquiring her first horse. She and her husband would eventually establish Eagle Oak Ranch in Paso Robles, where they raised Dutch Warmbloods. To this day, Cathy still enjoys dressage and rides her beloved warmblood horse.
Throughout her life, Cathy has been fortunate enough to travel extensively, developing a deep appreciation for cities like Paris, New York City, Rome, Egypt, and Kenya. Her love for adventure and exploration is evident in her many stories and experiences.
Cathy has been married to her husband, Ken Kragen, for an impressive 40 years. The couple is proud parents of their daughter, Emma Kragen, a talented cinematographer who graduated from the UCLA MFA program in Film. Emma's success is a testament to the family's strong bond and encouragement of artistic pursuits.
In addition to her many accomplishments, Cathy is a devoted meditator, practicing twice a day to maintain a sense of inner peace and balance.
