It's an absolute pleasure to make your acquaintance! I'm Casper, a multifaceted creative force with an unbridled enthusiasm for the world of film, television, literature, and narrative storytelling.
As a versatile individual, I've had the privilege of wearing multiple hats, including director, editor, foley artist, lighting designer, and co-writer, in the production of the film How to Fix Radios. I share this creative endeavor with my dear friend and collaborator, Emily Russell, with whom I've shared a lifelong bond, having grown up together in the esteemed Studio LC program at LCVI.
Throughout our time at Studio LC, Emily and I had the opportunity to refine our skills, working alongside our talented crew, and nurturing our artistic vision.
As a member of the queer community, I've long been plagued by a profound sense of disconnection and disillusionment stemming from the glaring lack of representation of LGBTQ+ characters and media. The scarcity of relatable narratives has left me feeling like an outcast, struggling to find authentic portrayals that resonate with my own unique experiences and emotions. This void has driven me to recognize the imperative need for more diverse and inclusive content, which is why I've made it my mission to craft stories that not only reflect the complexities of queer lives but also empower others to share their own tales.
It was approximately twelve months ago, in the year 2020, that the concept for the innovative project, How to Fix Radios, started to take form.
With the invaluable assistance of Emily, we embarked on the creative process of crafting the script, thereby laying the foundation for what would ultimately become a groundbreaking film.
As we embarked on this collaborative endeavour, we found ourselves immersed in a captivating journey, replete with excitement and anticipation. And now, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to share our finished film with audiences around the world.
