Here is the biography of Carolyn Mitchell:
Carolyn Mitchell was born Barbara Ann Thomason on January 25, 1937, in Phoenix, Arizona. Her family moved to Inglewood, California in 1951, where she attended Morningside High School. She began entering beauty pageants and won several titles, including "Miss Venus" and "Queen of the Championships of Southern California".
In 1955, she was named "Miss Huntington Beach" and won several other titles, including "Miss Van Ness", "Miss Bay Beach", and "Queen of Southern California". After graduating from school, she became a dance instructor for Arthur Murray and modeled under the name "Tara Thomas".
In 1958, she met Hollywood legend Mickey Rooney at a nightclub and they began a romantic relationship. They got married in Mexico in 1958 and had two daughters, Kelly Ann and Kerry Yule. They had two more children, a son Michael Joseph and a daughter Kimmy Sue.
However, their marriage was marked by infidelity and turmoil. Mickey had an affair with a stripper and movie extra, and Barbara had an affair with a Yugoslavian actor named Milos Milosevics. The couple eventually filed for separation and Mickey filed for divorce, citing mental cruelty.
In January 1966, Barbara was found dead in her bedroom, along with Milosevics, who had committed a murder-suicide. Mickey was devastated by her death and said in his autobiography that he "died when she did".
