Biography

Carolina Do is a multifaceted creative force, excelling as an actor, playwright, producer, and community organizer. Born in America to first-generation Vietnamese parents who were refugees and descendants of freedom fighters, she is deeply committed to crafting innovative narratives that challenge dominant storytelling and promote new world building.

Grounded in the power of storytelling as a tool for liberation, Carolina's work focuses on themes of generational healing, diasporic longings, and collective storytelling. As the Co-Founding and Co-Producing Artistic Leader of The Song Collective, she is dedicated to fostering a community of artists who explore complex issues such as identity, race, intersectionality, immigration, and the refugee experience.

Throughout her career, Carolina has made a significant impact in the entertainment industry. As an actor, she has had the opportunity to work on Broadway, collaborating with esteemed theatre companies such as Second Stage, PlayCo, Yangtze Rep, JACK, The Hearth, Piper Theater, LoadingDock, and CreativeTime. Her impressive resume also includes a range of film and television projects, including works that have been screened at prestigious festivals like SXSW, Austin Film Festival, Outfest, AAIFF, and Bushwick, among many others.
