Carole Ann Ford, a talented actress, was born in the summer of 1940, marking the beginning of a long and illustrious career in the entertainment industry. At the tender age of eight, she made her film debut, a milestone that would be followed by a series of acting and elocution lessons to hone her craft. As she grew older, Ford's talents were sought after for commercials and walk-on roles, gradually leading to her first substantial part in the play "Women of the Streets". The theatre, film, and television would become her playground, with notable performances in productions such as "The Day of the Triffids" (1963),"Emergency-Ward 10" (1957),"Moonstrike" (1963),"Compact" (1962),and "Z Cars" (1962). Her stint on the iconic BBC sci-fi series "Doctor Who" (1963) would be a highlight of her early career, before she transitioned to a more theatre-focused lifestyle. In 1977, Ford welcomed her second daughter, Tara, into the world, but her joy was short-lived as she suffered a severe back injury while filming a commercial. The subsequent use of painkillers triggered an extreme reaction, leaving her bedridden and struggling with ill health. Despite her setbacks, Ford has continued to act sporadically, most notably reprising her role as Susan in the 1983 special "The Five Doctors". Today, Ford has found a new passion in teaching voice, presentation skills, and dialogue coaching to a diverse range of clients, including politicians, businessmen, after-dinner speakers, and fellow actors.
