Carol Ann Van Natten

Carol Ann Van Natten, born Carol Ann Pillsbury, entered the world at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffolk County, Long Island, New York, to Anna Marie Gardino, a talented hairdresser and artist, and Bill Pillsbury, a skilled mechanic, contractor, and artist. From a very early age, Carol Ann was drawn to the idea of joining the military and pursuing a career in acting, her dreams not limited to these goals alone, as she also aspired to become a marine biologist, a teacher, an astronaut, and a thoroughbred jockey. As a young girl of nine, her mother remarried to Dean Van Natten, a former Air Force service member, and Carol Ann, along with her new family, relocated for the seventh time to Saratoga Springs, New York, a place that would later become her hometown.
