Biography

Carla's foray into the world of entertainment began with a childhood fascination with comedy, often regaling her family and friends with her comedic skits, showcasing her innate talent and leaving a lasting impression on those around her.

At the tender age of 14, her life took a dramatic turn when she was discovered by a New York modeling scout, propelling her into a lucrative career as a runway, print, and commercial model, taking her to the world's most vibrant cities, including the bustling metropolises of New York and Tokyo, as well as the cultural hubs of Germany, Spain, Mexico, and Venezuela.

However, Carla's aspirations didn't stop there. At the age of 21, she embarked on a new chapter in her life, relocating to the city that never sleeps, New York City, to hone her craft at The Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. Later, she made the cross-country journey to California, where she continued her studies at the Lee Strasberg Institute under the guidance of the renowned Hedy Sontag, further fueling her passion for acting.

Unbeknownst to Carla until 2001, a DNA test revealed a profound revelation: she was adopted at birth. This life-changing discovery illuminated her diverse heritage, which includes Swedish, Belgian, English, Irish, German, and Indigenous Arctic roots, despite being raised within her loving Puerto Rican family on the island.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Carla finds immense joy in her personal life. She is happily married to a retired Navy LCDR. Michael L. Smith(III),and is a devoted mother to two children from a previous marriage.

Carla's captivating personality, zany sense of humor, and captivating bombshell looks have solidified her as a notable figure in the entertainment industry, leaving an indelible mark on both the screen and runway.
