Carla's life began in the vibrant city of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, where she was born, before moving to Port Coquitlam, B.C., and later settling in Langley, B.C., with her two sisters and one brother.
Following her high school graduation, Carla embarked on a 10-year journey as an international model, gracing the pages of print, catalogs, and commercials. However, at the age of 26, she grew tired of the constant traveling and decided to pursue a new passion - acting.
Carla enrolled in acting classes and, on her very first audition, landed a role on the TV series Poltergeist: The Legacy in 1996, playing the character "Isabella". Her talent and dedication soon led to appearances in various TV shows, including The Outer Limits in 1995, Millennium in 1996, Stargate SG-1 in 1997, and The Chris Isaak Show in 2001. Her film credits include Saving Silverman in 2001, after which she relocated to New York.
One of Carla's most notable roles was as the original "Oma Desala" in the Stargate SG-1 episode Maternal Instinct in 2000, a character who would later become pivotal, played by Mel Harris, in the series.
Today, Carla is a devoted mother of two, and her creative pursuits include playing the guitar, singing, cooking, baking, sewing, painting, drawing, and crafting.
