Carla Azar is a multifaceted American musician, boasting a diverse range of talents that extend far beyond the realm of drumming. Not only is she an accomplished drummer, but she is also a skilled guitarist, keyboardist, and singer.
As a member of the alternative rock band Autolux, Azar has had the opportunity to hone her craft and share her unique sound with the world. Her impressive drumming skills have also led her to collaborate with a variety of other artists, including the renowned Jack White.
In addition to her work with Autolux, Azar has played drums on several of White's albums, including Blunderbuss, Lazaretto, and Boarding House Reach. She has also had the privilege of touring with White's band, The Peacocks, and has shared the stage with him on numerous occasions.
Beyond her work in music, Azar has also explored her creative side through collaborations with visual artists. From 2009-2011, she worked closely with painter Mark Whalen, also known as Kill Pixie, on a series of art exhibitions.
