Carey Shawn (DeJaeghere) Torrice was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, where she grew up with a strong sense of patriotism due to her father's service as a Vietnam Veteran. Unfortunately, her father is buried in Arlington National Cemetery. Her mother, on the other hand, bravely fought Ovarian Cancer for an impressive 16 years.
In 2006, Carey married Michael Torrice in a fairytale-like wedding at Disney World. This marked the beginning of her life with her loving husband.
From a young age, Carey has been passionate about dancing, singing, and performing. Her love for acting was sparked during a trip to Disney World at the age of 17, where she discovered the iconic film "Casablanca" on the "Great Movie Ride".
Carey's uncle, Leo Fenn, played a significant role in shaping her career. As the manager of several notable bands, including The Pleasure Seekers, Alice Cooper, and The Billion Dollar Babies, Leo Fenn took Carey under his wing and encouraged her to pursue her dreams, saying, "It's something you were born into, and it's in your blood. Carey began her career as a spokes model and narrator for Detroit's own Chrysler motor company, following in the footsteps of her aunt, Bonnie, who was crowned "Miss Chevrolet 1954".
As a former Miss Teen Detroit, model, actress, and licensed private investigator, Carey attracted fans from far and wide when she was voted America's sexiest politician in 2007. Her website has since received over two million visitors, likely drawn in by her robust stance on animal rights.
Carey owns the Eye Spy Detective Agency in Fraser, Michigan, and has appeared on several TV shows, including Holly's World with E! Television network, Maury, and many more, as an expert private eye. She has also starred in over 100 commercials and movies, as well as the Soap Opera "The Guiding Light".
