Person Biography:
Camille Hollett-French is a Trinidadian-Canadian actor, director, writer, model, and advocate. Born in Montreal, she moved to Toronto as a teenager and now resides in Vancouver. She is the winner of the £20,000 Craghoppers Film Prize for her first film 'Hush Little Baby'. Camille has appeared in several TV shows, including 'The Twilight Zone', 'Motherland: Fort Salem', 'Nancy Drew', and 'Valley of the Boom'.
Camille's films have screened at over 40 festivals globally, including Slamdance, Fantasia, The Awareness Film Fest, and the Vancouver Short Film Festival. Her short film 'FREYA' won five Leo Awards, including Best VFX, Best Direction, and Best Short Film. She is also an alum of the Whistler Film Festival's Producers Lab and Women In the Director's Chair Story & Leadership program.
Camille is currently in post-production for her next short film, 'Spark', funded by the Canada Council for the Arts and set to be released in Fall 2022. She has also made a short film, 'ENDOMIC', for the Symbiosis Filmmaking Competition, partnering with research scientist Ipek Ensari to create a film about endometriosis.
