Buzz has had a remarkable career spanning nearly four decades, with his journey beginning in the vibrant theatre scene of Washington, D.C. in the late 1970s and early 1980s. As an original member of Woolly Mammoth Theatre Co. and New Playwrights Theatre Of Washington, among other notable theatre companies, he was part of the thriving artistic landscape of the time.
In addition to his work in theatre, Buzz has also had a prolific career in film and voice-overs, with thousands of projects under his belt, including films and voice-overs for the US Government and Military. He even achieved the honorary rank of Naval Lt. Cmdr. Furthermore, he has explored various creative avenues, including magic, juggling, and mime, and has even collaborated on performance art with the renowned Yoko Ono.
However, just as the D.C. scene was reaching its peak, Buzz made the bold decision to return to New York City, where he has continued to thrive as a frequent face in the New York theatre and regional theatres across the United States. His extensive repertoire has taken him to the European continent, where he has played a wide range of roles, from blue-collar to aristocrat, and from classical theatre to musical theatre, drama to farce.
As a classically-trained tenor, Buzz is also proficient in several languages and is an expert dialectician. He has had the privilege of working alongside some of the most talented actors in the industry, including famous, anonymous, and even ignominious ones. Buzz is a proud member of Actors' Equity and SAG-AFTRA, and is a committed trade unionist.
In his personal life, Buzz met his wife, Laurie Dawn, while performing in Cat On A Hot Tin Roof in Europe. She was playing the title role, and Buzz has since described her as his favorite co-star. Together, they make their home in the peaceful village of The Bronx, one of only three cities in the world that begins with the letter "The", along with The Hague and The Vatican.
