Buddhadev Dasgupta, a renowned Indian filmmaker, entered this world on February 11, 1944, in the quaint town of Anara, India. As a director and writer, he left an indelible mark on the Indian film industry, with his most notable works including the critically acclaimed "Uttara" (2000),the poignant "Dooratwa" (1979),and the historical epic "Bagh Bahadur" (1989). The cinematic genius continued to weave his magic until his untimely demise on June 10, 2021, at the age of 77, in his hometown of Kolkata, West Bengal, India.
