Bryan Kaplan, a talented stage and film actor, was born in New Jersey. He is a graduate of the prestigious BritishAmerican Drama Academy in association with The Juilliard, and later trained with the renowned acting teacher and coach, Penny Templeton, in New York.
Kaplan's impressive film career includes starring in the critically acclaimed "Fray" (2014),a three-time Best Feature Film winner. In this powerful story, he played the role of Justin, a Marine Veteran returned home from war, and received the "Best Lead Actor" award at the Brooklyn Film Festival. The LA Times praised his performance, stating, "Superior...Deserves attention...Kaplan comes off so convincingly, it's not unfair to wonder if he's truly an actor (he is)." Additionally, "Fray" ranked among Amazon's Top 15 War & Military film list.
On stage, Kaplan has received widespread critical acclaim for his performances in New York, Edinburgh, and London. His starring role as Tony in the play "EightyThree Down" earned six critic choice nominations in New York, with some critics drawing comparisons to Marlon Brando's iconic performance in "A Street Car Named Desire". In the UK, he received rave reviews for his work in the play "Knuckleball" during its run at the Edinburgh Theatre Festival and in London.
Currently, Kaplan stars in Perry King's feature-length western, "The Divide", which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2018 and has already won 15 film awards. Despite his busy schedule, Kaplan splits his time between Los Angeles and New York, where he frequently works on stage productions.
