Born in Montagano, Italy, he made the journey to the United States at the tender age of eight, accompanied by his mother and sisters, to reunite with his father who had settled in the country a year prior.
He went on to excel in sports, specifically basketball and baseball, at St. Patrick's High School in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Upon graduation, he received a basketball scholarship to the University of Texas at El Paso, having previously been named to All-County, All-State, and All-American Honorable Mention Selections.
He completed his college career at Biscayne College in Miami, Florida, now known as St. Thomas University, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a degree in English and Philosophy. He then pursued a career in professional basketball in Italy with G.S.A. Benevento. His impressive athletic accomplishments earned him inductions into the St. Patrick's High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 1996 and the Elizabeth, NJ Athletic Hall of Fame in 1999.
While teaching English and coaching varsity basketball at North Brunswick Township High School, he discovered his passion for acting. He went on to attend the Strasberg Theatre Institute and continued his training with renowned instructors Marcia Haufrecht, John Stix, John Strasberg, Michael Shurtleff, Michael Moriarity, and Gordon Phillips.
He has worked extensively in theatrical productions in New York City, with notable roles including Pale in Burn This, Salvatore in the highly acclaimed NYC premiere of The Headhunter, Benny in We Make a Wall, Gus in Tracon, Domin in Dog Eats Dog, Louis in The Gravediggers Tale, and Gabriel in Valentino's Wing.
Bruno has also had the opportunity to work in television and film, collaborating with esteemed directors such as Sergio Leone, Sydney Lumet, Richard Benjamin, David Platt, and with accomplished actors like Robert DeNiro, Tom Hanks, James Woods, Paul Sorvino, David Proval, and Phil Bosco.
