Bruce Spielbauer, a seasoned actor with an impressive repertoire, has made a significant mark in the entertainment industry. With a staggering 100+ feature films, numerous TV shows, and commercials under his belt, he has also had the privilege of performing in over 140 professional plays since the inception of his acting career.
As a Chicago-based actor, Bruce frequently travels for work, which allows him to explore new roles and characters. He has stated that he particularly enjoys the process of bringing a character to life, starting from the written page. Bruce has a strong preference for roles that are multi-dimensional, rather than mere stereotypes or clichés.
Bruce's acting journey began with formal training in his teenage years, at the age of 14, followed by a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in acting. He has continued to hone his craft through numerous workshops, classes, and seminars, and remains committed to ongoing formal training to this day. His most recent mentor was Robyn Coffin, a regular cast member on NBC's TV series "Chicago Fire".
On stage, Bruce has had the opportunity to work as a full-time company member of a professional summer-rep dinner-theatre for seven seasons. He has also worked as a full-time actor on a Riverboat on the Mississippi River for eight seasons. Throughout the years, he has continued to work on stage, particularly in Chicago, before branching out to film and television in the late 1990s.
In recent years, Bruce has focused on his work in movies and TV, while still making it a priority to return to the stage at least once a year. He is represented by Ambassador Talent for acting, voice, and print work.
