Brittany Leanna Robertson was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, to Beverly Hayes and Ryan Robertson, a restaurateur, who would later move to South Carolina, where she was raised as the oldest of seven children.
Her mother's concerns about the public school system led to Brittany being homeschooled, which allowed her to focus on her passion for acting.
At a young age, Brittany began performing at the Greenville Little Theater in South Carolina, and as she entered her teenage years, she made the bold decision to move to Los Angeles with her grandmother to pursue TV and film opportunities.
Her big break came with a role in the TV movie "Growing Pains: Return of the Seavers" in 2004, followed by appearances in "Dan in Real Life" in 2007, "Scream 4" in 2011, and the lead roles in two series, "Lux" in "Life Unexpected" in 2010 and "Cassie" in "The Secret Circle" in 2011.
Brittany's impressive resume also includes starring roles in the television film "Avalon High" in 2010, opposite Gregg Sulkin, a supporting role in the Vince Vaughn film "Delivery Man" in 2013, and the lead role in the Nicholas Sparks book adaptation "The Longest Ride" in 2015, opposite Scott Eastwood.
In addition to her film work, Brittany will star alongside George Clooney in the Brad Bird-directed science fiction adventure "Tomorrowland" in 2015, cementing her status as a talented and versatile actress in Hollywood.
