Briana Cap's life began in Lansing, Michigan, where she was born, before her family's military moves took her to San Diego, California, where she spent most of her childhood. Her father, a retired Marine, and her mother, who worked in sales, instilled in her the importance of discipline and hard work. As the middle child among two sisters, Briana developed strong relationships with her siblings and learned valuable lessons about teamwork and communication.
Growing up, Briana's passion for soccer shone brightly, and she played competitively throughout high school. Her talents on the field earned her a spot on the California State University Northridge women's soccer team, where she not only honed her athletic skills but also pursued a degree in Broadcast Journalism. Her academic accomplishments culminated in the receipt of the prestigious "Mark of Excellence Award" from the Society of Professional Journalists for her outstanding work in radio sports reporting.
Following her graduation, Briana transitioned her focus to her burgeoning acting career. Under the guidance of renowned acting coach Terri Ross in San Diego, she delved into the Stanislavsky System, a comprehensive approach to acting that emphasizes emotional recall and sensory experiences. During this period, Briana also had the opportunity to tour the country as a professional Polynesian dancer with the esteemed Kalena O'Hilo dance troupe.
As her confidence and skills grew, Briana returned to Los Angeles to pursue acting full-time. With the support of her agent, she secured numerous television, film, and commercial projects, showcasing her versatility and range as a performer. Her breakthrough role arrived in 2016 when she landed the recurring part of journalist Barbara Dicasoli on the popular FOX series "Rosewood." More recently, in the spring of 2019, she starred alongside Oscar-winning actress Brie Larson in the critically acclaimed short film "The Debriefing."
