Biography

Brian Shoop, the youngest of four siblings, was born near the picturesque Ohio shoreline of Lake Erie to Willard and Alice Shoop. His two elder brothers, influenced by their father's involvement in the oil industry, followed in his footsteps, whereas Brian took a divergent path, opting for a career in construction.

As fate would have it, Brian's life took a dramatic turn when he married his childhood sweetheart and relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 1980, with his two young sons in tow, in search of better opportunities. Little did he know that this move would ultimately lead him to discover his passion for acting.

However, the responsibilities of providing for his family took precedence over his newfound love for the craft, and Brian felt compelled to continue working in construction to support his loved ones. This period of his life was marked by a sense of obligation, as he delayed pursuing his dream of becoming an actor.

The turning point came when his sons left for college, and Brian, now 47, finally had the opportunity to dedicate himself fully to his craft. In a remarkable twist of fate, his first major motion picture role arrived in the form of The Rookie (2002),a story about the oldest rookie in professional baseball, a film that showcased his acting prowess.
