Brian Drolet, originally from Queens, New York, graduated from the University of Florida's fine arts school with a degree in Electronic Intermedia. After completing his studies, he moved back to New York, where he initially pursued a career in acting, but soon began to write and produce his own films as well. Drolet is a creative individual who enjoys various forms of artistic expression, including painting, and has even tried his hand at stand-up comedy.
During his time in Los Angeles, Brian Drolet held multiple film and television roles, in addition to serving as the Head Writer for truTV's sketch comedy/variety show, "Six Degrees Of Everything," produced by Marc Summers Productions. He also starred in "Cinedopes," a scripted digital series he created, produced, and co-wrote for YouTube, along with comedian Ben Gleib, about the first movie theater to offer weed at its concession stands.
Before that, his film "Dumbbells," a comedy he co-wrote, produced, and starred in as Chris Long, a fallen basketball star, was released theatrically in fifteen cities and VOD simultaneously. On that movie, he had the opportunity to work with comedy legends Carl Reiner and Tom Arnold, as well as Jay Mohr, Mircea Monroe, Fabio, and Jaleel White.
At the age of twenty-six, Brian produced his first indie film, "2 Dudes And A Dream," where he collaborated with Jay Mewes, Andy Milonakis, and Simon Rex, and it was distributed digitally by Warner Bros, representing his entry into producing and writing. He also starred in the award-winning play "Women Are Crazy Because Men Are Assholes," as well as a series of one-act plays called "Hollywood Shorts."
Drolet has acted in various television and film roles, including Disney's "Pair Of Kings," and several hidden camera prank shows, specializing in improv on "MTV's Damage Control" and "MTV's Disaster Date," where his characters ranged from a sleazy male stripper to a hearing-impaired wanna-be rapper. He has also worked with Jonah Hill and Anthony Anderson on the Oxygen Network show "Campus Ladies," as well as Matt LeBlanc, Chevy Chase, and Ali Larter in the comedy feature "Lovesick," which opened at the 2014 Newport Beach Film Festival.
Additionally, his resume includes over a dozen indie features, where he worked with stars ranging from Danny Trejo to Busy Philips, as well as the comedy pilots "Damaged Goods" and "Naked But Funny," a sketch comedy pilot from New Wave Entertainment for FOX, where he got to play his childhood idol Jim Carrey. Brian was also a cast member of season one of MTV's smash hit "The Hills," performing stand-up comedy at the world-famous Laugh Factory in LA. He has also appeared in ads and commercials for numerous brands, including Nike, White Castle, Sunkist Soda, Miller-Lite, Budweiser, Pepto-Bismol, the NCAA, Pepsi, Perry Ellis, Calvin Klein, and many more.
