Brendan Gabriel Murphy is a multi-award winning filmmaker and co-founding member of AlteredState Entertainment. He has been profiled in several prestigious publications, including Variety, Deadline, Rolling Stone Magazine, The HollywoodInterview, H-Magazine, and The Top 100 Indie Filmmakers In The World, for his achievements as a director.
Murphy's groundbreaking short film, "SWERVE," starring Shiloh Fernandez and Juno Temple, won five prestigious festival awards and secured three distribution deals. His feature film directorial debut, "#LUCKY NUMBER," starring Method Man and Tom Pelphrey, signed a worldwide distribution deal with Vision Films.
In addition to his work in film, Murphy has directed commercials for KANE Watches in Europe and Asia, filming in Amsterdam and Kyoto. He has also co-directed branded content for NIKE Training, Amazon Prime Video, and Leyline Games.
Murphy has directed network campaigns for NBC, FOX, and CBS, working with series regular TV stars and high-level network executives. His upcoming film, "FLUXX," a psychological thriller co-written, produced, and directed by Murphy, stars Tyrese Gibson and Shelley Hennig, and is set to be released in theaters on May 30th, 2025.
The film has already won 12 festival awards and signed a North American distribution deal with The Forge. Murphy has also co-directed "THE TAILOR OF SIN CITY," which is currently streaming on AMC+, and wrote and directed the western thriller "BLOOD BEHIND US," starring Michael Madsen and Jaime King.
Murphy's upcoming projects include the scripted TV show "THE GOOD HURT" in development with Live Nation Productions, and the feature film "Nocturnal," a psychological horror, which begins production in Europe summer 2025.
