In 2007, her debut play, Gone Too Far!, made its premiere at the esteemed Royal Court, marking the beginning of a remarkable journey.
This groundbreaking production would go on to win the prestigious 2008 Oliver Award for Outstanding Achievement, solidifying Agbaje's position as a rising star in the world of playwriting.
In the same year, she received a nomination for the Evening Standard Awards, further cementing her status as a talented and promising playwright.
The screenplay adaptation of Gone Too Far!, produced by Poisson Rouge Pictures and the British Film Institute, premiered at the London Film Festival in 2013, earning Agbaje another accolade – the 2014 DC Award at the London Comedy Awards.
Following the success of her film adaptation, Gone Too Far! received a nationwide release in UK cinemas on October 10th, 2014.
In 2014, Agbaje began working on the sequel to Gone Too Far!, Gone Too Africa, demonstrating her dedication to her craft and her ability to continuously push the boundaries of her creativity.
