Bogdan Stupka is a renowned Ukrainian actor, having gained widespread recognition for his remarkable stage performances. One of his most iconic roles was as Tevye the Milkman in the production of Sholom Aleichem's Tevye-Tevel, also known as Fiddler on the Roof, which premiered in 1971. Following a brief tenure as the Ukrainian Minister of Culture, Stupka assumed the position of Executive Director of the esteemed Ivan Franko State Theater in Kyiv, where he was responsible for overseeing the theater's operations while also continuing to perform on stage.
In addition to his administrative duties, Stupka maintained a demanding performance schedule, appearing in multiple productions each week, including both new and traditional works. He also embarked on international tours with his company, which allowed him to share his talents with audiences worldwide. Furthermore, Stupka made regular appearances in film, with a minimum of two or three movie roles per year. Despite his busy schedule, he remained devoted to his family, particularly his wife, with whom he shared many years of marriage, as well as his son, Ostap Stupka, and his grandchildren.
