Biography

As a young child, Bob often retreated from his home life by immersing himself in the lives of his favorite television or comic book characters, drawn to their vibrant personalities and extraordinary circumstances. Initially, his escape fantasies revolved around cowboys and rodeo performers he encountered while competing in horse shows, followed by rebellious juvenile delinquents and local law enforcement officials.

At the tender age of 14, Bob made his first bold move by running away from home in Detroit and embarking on a journey to California. This marked the beginning of a series of daring escapades, as he sought work among migrant farm workers and a traveling circus, only to be told he was too young. Undeterred, he landed a job at the iconic Nu Pike amusement park in Long Beach and rented his first apartment in the nearby "Jungle" neighborhood, where he witnessed a fatal knife fight. It was during this trip that Bob gained his first glimpse of a professional film crew at work, an experience that left a lasting impression on him.

Throughout his teenage years, Bob continued to hitchhike across the United States, braving the elements and facing his fears on isolated mountain roads. He rode shotgun with long-haul truckers, traveling salesmen, and tourists, and even assisted his older brother, who had become paralyzed in a car accident, until his passing five years later. The stories and life journeys of these individuals profoundly impacted Bob, influencing the characters he would go on to portray.

Prior to pursuing acting and modeling, Bob began his career in Detroit, Michigan, while attending Wayne State University. He used his earnings to help cover rent and tuition during the school year, supplementing his income with summer work in pipeline construction.

Following his brother's death, Bob relocated to California, where he struggled to find his footing, living in his car, sleeping on the beach, and eventually securing work in construction. He eventually graduated from U.C. Santa Barbara with a degree in drama, relocated to Los Angeles, and went on to perform in a wide range of productions, including films, television shows, soap operas, commercials, industrial films, voice-over work, and looping.

One of Bob's most cherished credits is his membership in The Mighty Carson Art Players, where he had the privilege of performing alongside the legendary Johnny Carson on numerous occasions.

Today, Bob resides in Santa Monica with his wife of 28 years and a feline companion who plays a crucial role in maintaining household order.
