Biography

Blanca Estrada, a renowned Spanish actress and presenter, has made a lasting impact on the entertainment industry. Born into a family of actresses, she is the sister of Gloria Estrada and cousin of Susana Estrada. Blanca gained widespread recognition in 1972 as the "hostess" or "secretary" of the first season of the popular TVE contest, Un, dos, tres... responda otra vez, alongside notable faces such as Ágata Lys and Yolanda Ríos.

The following year, she transitioned to presenting the Valerio Lazarov variety show ¡Señoras y señores!. Her subsequent cinematic career was marked by a series of films with high erotic content, including Una vela para el diablo (1973),El libro de buen amor (1975),Metralleta Stein (1975),Dios bendiga cada rincón de esta casa (1977),El francotirador (1977),Historia de 'S' (1979),and The Cantabrians (1980). These films featured frequent nude and "bed scenes," solidifying her status as one of the most celebrated actresses of her time.

Blanca's provocative style extended beyond the big screen, as she frequently appeared in magazines such as Play-Lady, Interviú, and Fotogramas, gracing the cover of the latter five times in the mid-1970s. Her versatility as an actress was also showcased in the Antonio Gala series Paisaje con figuras, where she appeared in the chapter dedicated to Mariana Pineda, broadcast on Televisión Española in December 1976.

After a brief hiatus from acting, Blanca returned to the screen in 1982 under the direction of Narciso Ibáñez Serrador, starring in a new chapter of the series Historias para no dormir ("El fin empezó ayer") alongside Manuel Tejada, which premiered on Spanish Television in September of that year.

Blanca has had two romantic relationships, first with Luis Bastarrica, whom she married in 1970, and later with Radio Nacional de España broadcaster Joaquín Ocio, who passed away in 1994, and journalist Alejo García, who disappeared in 2008 at the age of 71. After living in the United States for a time, Blanca currently resides in Málaga, far removed from the artistic world.
