Bill Heintz was born in the vibrant city of New Orleans, Louisiana, where he co-founded the independent horror film company Terror Optics in the year 2001 alongside director Jason Matherne.
As a multifaceted individual, Heintz took on lead roles and contributed to the production design for Terror Optics' first two feature-length films, "Attack Of The Cockface Killer" and "Stabbed In The Face". He then expanded his creative horizons by providing the musical score for the company's subsequent films, "Goregasm" and "Grimewave", as well as penning the short films "Peepshow Creep", "Creepy Dean", and "Weirdos".
Heintz's diverse talents continued to shine as he wrote, co-produced, scored, acted, and handled production design for Terror Optics' fifth feature film, "Silk Scream". Throughout his career, Heintz has made minor appearances in notable films such as "Terminator Genisys", "Dracula 2000", "G.I.Joe 2: Retaliation", "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter", and "Django Unchained".
In addition to his work in the film industry, Heintz remains an active presence in the New Orleans music scene, having formed the bands "The Pallbearers", "The Unnaturals", "The Bills", and "Dummy Dumpster". Under his independent record label, Sheer Terror Records, Heintz records and releases music.
In 2009, Heintz founded the annual punk rock music festival Creepy Fest, which takes place every July in New Orleans over the course of four nights. He regularly contributes artwork and writing to Antigravity Magazine, Paranoize Zine, and Orgy Of The Weird comic book, and has been designing live music playbills since 1995.
