Bill Cardille, a native of Sharon, Pennsylvania, affectionately known as "Chilly Billy," embarked on his broadcasting career in 1952 at WICV Channel 12 in Erie, Pennsylvania. He later relocated to Pittsburgh in 1957, signing on with WIIC Channel 11 (now WPXI) and becoming the host for various iconic programs such as Studio Wrestling, Dance Party, and the beloved Chiller Theater.
Throughout his illustrious career, Bill has been recognized with numerous awards and honors for his tireless volunteer work and dedication to his craft. He received the Heart Award in 1976, was named AFTRA's TV Personality of the Year, and was inducted into the AFTRA Hall of Fame in 1979. His remarkable contributions to the broadcasting industry have also been showcased at the Museum of Broadcast in New York, and he was inducted into the Pennsylvania Broadcaster Hall of Fame in 1997.
Currently, Bill can be heard on the radio, hosting his show on 1320 WJAS from 10am to 3pm every weekday. He resides in the North Hills with his wife, Louise, and is a proud parent of three children, Lori, Marea, and Bill, as well as four grandchildren.
