Bill Brochtrup is a multi-talented stage, film, and television actor, renowned for his portrayal of "John Irvin," the affable administrative aide on the esteemed ABC TV series NYPD Blue, which garnered an Emmy Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble alongside the rest of the cast.
In addition to his recurring roles on Steven Bochco's Public Morals and Total Security, as well as his appearances on Jon Avnet's web-series Kendra and Showtime's Shameless, Brochtrup has had a notable five-season stint as police psychologist "Dr. Joe" on TNT's Major Crimes.
His film credits include Hypnotized, Life as We Know It, He's Just Not That Into You, Duck, Ravenous, and Space Marines, showcasing his versatility as a performer.
