Bijou Thaangjam is a multifaceted personality, renowned for his expertise as a chef, actor, lyricist, entrepreneur, and art director, hailing from Imphal, Manipur.
Born on March 24th, 1986, Bijou's early life saw him schooled at Tiny Tot's Unique School, Imphal, and later pursuing his graduation from Bangalore University.
His fascination with cooking and acting started at a young age, which eventually led him to excel in both forms of art. He made his mark by appearing in MasterChef India season 2, finishing as one of the top 50 contestants, and later in the reality show UTVStars Superstar Santa.
In 2012, Bijou relocated to Mumbai to pursue a career in acting, which saw him bag his first Bollywood film, Mary Kom, in 2014. This marked the beginning of a successful film career, with notable roles in Shivaay, Jagga Jasoos, Paltan, Happy Phir Bhaag Jayegi, Vodka Diaries, and III Smoking Barrels, among others.
Bijou has also made a name for himself in television, featuring in popular shows like Dil Dosti Dance, Traffic, Code Red, and The Test Case. His OTT Webseries credits include Altbalaji's The Test Case, TVF's Aspirant, and several other projects.
In addition to his acting career, Bijou is the founder of the Natural, Organic, and Vegan Personal Care brand, MadhabiGi, and recently launched his maiden production house, Cicada Film Production, which focuses on producing content related to and from Northeast India.
Bijou's collaborations include working with EaseMyTrip on his maiden project, Roll The Dice, featuring Naveen Jagbir Sandhu, and his projects Lembi Leima and Bewafa have been making waves at international film festivals, winning multiple awards. He was last seen in Zee5 Original series Mukhbir - The Story Of a Spy, playing a junior officer, and is set to appear next in Victor Mukherjee's Lakkadbaggha.
