Bianca Bree was born into the world of cinema, surrounded by the glamour of film sets and the athletic prowess of her parents. Her father, Jean-Claude Van Damme, a renowned martial artist and actor, would often take Bianca on set, exposing her to the world of filmmaking from a young age. Her mother, Gladys Portugues, a former bodybuilder and fitness competitor, instilled in Bianca a love for athletics, encouraging her to try various sports such as karate, kick-boxing, boxing, ballet, and figure skating.
Growing up, Bianca was fascinated by the Olympics, and she dreamed of competing in the Winter Games. However, her experience with figure skating was marred by the cattiness of the other skaters, leading her to consider quitting. It was short track speed skating that ultimately captured her heart, and she set her sights on competing in the 2010 Winter Olympics. With intense training and dedication, Bianca went on to win numerous competitions and receive several awards, including the prestigious "Most Improved" award.
Despite her success, Bianca's passion for speed skating was derailed when her family relocated to Vancouver, Canada. The move led to a period of depression, which ultimately resulted in a back injury sustained during a crash in her final race. This setback forced Bianca to reevaluate her priorities, and she eventually decided to focus on her education and her father's business ventures.
After graduating high school at the age of 16, Bianca enrolled in John Casablanca's in Vancouver to study acting. However, she soon found herself assisting her father on film sets and business trips, where she gained valuable insights into the film industry. This experience laid the foundation for her future career in acting.
In 2007, Bianca made her film debut in The Shepherd (2008),followed by appearances in The Eagle Path (2010) and Assassination Games (2011). In 2011, she was approached by ITV to star in a reality TV show, Jean Claude Van Damme: Behind Closed Doors, which chronicled her family's life.
The success of the TV show led to Bianca being offered the lead role in Alien Uprising (2012),directed by Dominic Burns. This marked a turning point in her career, as she gained the opportunity to perform her own stunts and developed a close relationship with the director. She went on to star in 6 Bullets (2012) and Welcome to the Jungle (2013),cementing her status as a rising star in the film industry.
Today, Bianca continues to hone her craft, balancing her acting career with her passion for fitness and poetry.
