Born in Thissur, Kerala, Bhavana is the daughter of assistant cinematographer G. Balchandran and Pushpa. She laid the foundation for her future in the world of cinema at Holy Family Convent Girls High School, Thrissur.
At the tender age of 16, Bhavana made her cinematic debut in the Malayalam film "Nammal" in 2002, earning her a Kerala State Special Jury Award. She has since received numerous accolades, including the Kerala State Film Award, Asianet Film Award, Jersey Foundation Award, and Kalakeralam Award, testifying to her exceptional talent and dedication.
