Bernadette, a native New Yorker, spent a significant portion of her childhood in Chicago, Illinois. After earning a Bachelor's Degree in Theater from the University of Georgia, she embarked on a career path that would take her back to her hometown of Chicago. Bernadette's early career saw her co-star alongside Lorenz Tate and Nia Long as "Sheila" in the movie "Love Jones". She then had the privilege of sharing the screen with the renowned Oscar Award-winning actor, Sidney Poitier, in "To Sir with Love" Part 2.
As the Chief Operating Officer of Dreams Take a Minute Productions, Bernadette has been instrumental in the development of a major project, PHI'LA The Musical, alongside her husband. Her directorial expertise was showcased when she directed the staged musical at the Club Nokia in October 2009, followed by a repeat performance at the NAACP Theater Festival in August 2010. With her extensive industry knowledge, Bernadette is now lending her expertise to the development of PHI'LA's film project.
