Bernadene Hayes, a talented radio personality, was born on March 15th, 1903, in the vibrant city of Chicago, Illinois. As she entered her late twenties, she began her career in radio, earning the esteemed nicknames "The Queen of Radio" and "The Red Hair of the Air" in 1930 after captivating audiences with her remarkable singing talents within two CBS programs. Following a stint in vaudeville, Hayes made the move to Hollywood, commencing her illustrious film and television career, which would span an impressive two decades, from 1934 to 1956. During her remarkable career, she had the privilege of sharing the screen with some of the most iconic stars of the time, including James Cagney, William Powell, Clark Gable, George Burns, Gracie Allen, Gene Kelly, William Boyd, Alan Ladd, and Edward G. Robinson, to name a few.
