Biography

Benny Chan Muk-Sing, a multifaceted individual with a rich professional history, began his career in the television industry by working for RTV, a pioneering television network.

He later transitioned to TVB, where he served as an assistant director to the renowned Johnnie To Kay-Fung. Under To's guidance, Chan honed his skills and eventually rose through the ranks to become a director.

This professional ascension culminated in his appointment as the executive director for Raymond Wong Pak-Ming's 1987 film "Goodbye Darling". Following this project, Chan returned to ATV, where he assumed the roles of producer and director.

In 1990, Chan directed the critically acclaimed film "A Moment of Romance", which marked a significant milestone in his career. After fulfilling his contractual obligations with ATV, Chan dedicated himself to his film career, focusing on projects that showcased his artistic vision.

One of Chan's most notable achievements to date is his direction of "Big Bullet", a film that garnered him a nomination for Best Director at the 16th Hong Kong Film Awards. This recognition serves as a testament to his exceptional talent and dedication to his craft.
