Benjamin Walker, born Benjamin Walker Davis, was raised in Cartersville, Georgia, the son of Jeannine Walker, a music teacher, and Greg Davis, who worked in finance and owned a movie rental store. He has one older brother.
Benjamin Walker's educational background includes attending Cartersville High School in Georgia, the Interlochen Arts Academy in Traverse City, Michigan, and the Juilliard School in New York, where he studied acting.
While at Juilliard, Walker began his career as a stand-up comedian, performing for paying audiences. His breakthrough in acting came in 2007 when he was cast as Bertram Cates in a Broadway production of 'Inherit the Wind'. He went on to play Andrew Jackson in the critically acclaimed rock musical 'Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson'.
Benjamin Walker's film and television career began with his role as the young Kinsey in 'Kinsey' (2004). He continued to take on various roles, including Harlon Block in Clint Eastwood's 'Flags of Our Fathers' (2006) and Abraham Lincoln in 'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter' (2012).
