Biography

Ben Stoloff, a proud alumnus of the University of California, Los Angeles, began his illustrious career as a comedy short director for Fox Films, showcasing his unique talent for crafting humorous and engaging stories.

As his skills and reputation grew, Stoloff transitioned to feature direction, working with some of the most iconic figures in the western genre, including the legendary Tom Mix and Buck Jones.

In addition to his work in westerns, Stoloff also lent his expertise to the world of musicals, directing a number of these productions for Fox Films.

Furthermore, Stoloff's versatility and range led him to take on a variety of roles, including producer and director of features, mostly "B" pictures, and shorts, at RKO Pictures from 1935 to 1939.
