Benjamin "Benjie" Anderson, a native of Savannah, Georgia, graduated from H.V. Jenkins High School and went on to attend Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Georgia, where he majored in Psychology and minored in Voice/Music.
During his time at Morris Brown College, Anderson was an active and accomplished student, serving as President of the Morris Brown College Psychology Club, President of the Morris Brown College Concert Choir on two separate occasions, and a member of Phi Mu Alpha Music Sinfonia. He also represented his student body as a student council representative and was an activist for various causes.
After completing his education, Anderson served in the United States Marine Corps and later transitioned to a career in the entertainment industry, becoming a member of the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA).
As a SAG-AFTRA actor, Anderson has worked in film, television, and theater for over 35 years, with a focus on regional productions. He has also worked behind the camera, serving as executive producer, director, and writer at BJG Media Productions in Atlanta, Georgia.
Anderson's production company, BJG Media Productions, has produced several drama series, including "Misty," "A-Town East," and "Love Always Charleston," which debuted in 2007 and aired nationally on CoLoursTV in 2010. The show also aired on Comcast Channel 25 in Dekalb County, Georgia, and on various other channels in the southeastern United States.
In addition to "Love Always Charleston," BJG Media Productions has produced several other shows, including "Cool Carolina Nights," which aired in Metro Richmond, Virginia, Fayetteville/Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, Charlotte, North Carolina, and Atlanta (Dekalb County),Georgia.
Throughout his career, Anderson's programming has run for 14 seasons, both locally and regionally, with one season airing nationally.
