Ben Jenkin, a native of Germany, spent his early childhood traversing various schools due to his father's military service. At the tender age of four, Ben returned to his hometown of Blackburn, England, where he would spend the remainder of his formative years.
Throughout his primary and secondary education, Ben was an athletic powerhouse, heavily involved in a plethora of sports. In 2003, at the age of twelve, Ben's exceptional basketball skills earned him a spot on the national team, Preston Pride, which went on to win the northwest division for the fourth consecutive year.
Ben's introduction to Parkour and Freerunning came in 2005, when he watched a documentary titled "Jump Britain." He was immediately captivated by the art form and, along with his friends, set out to learn and master the skills the very next day. Over the course of the first three years of his training, Ben traveled extensively throughout England, seeking out and training with various practitioners to hone his craft and gain knowledge from those who had been in the sport since its inception.
In his later years of high school, Ben was inducted into the Gifted and Talented Program, a testament to his remarkable abilities in both Freerunning and Basketball. In 2008, Ben received a last-minute opportunity to compete in the Barclaycard World Freerun Championships when a participating athlete withdrew at the eleventh hour. With only a week's notice, Ben trained with unprecedented intensity to prepare for the competition.
As the youngest competitor in the event, Ben aimed to make a lasting impression and demonstrate his potential as a force to be reckoned with in the world of Freerunning. He achieved this feat by securing a third-place finish and winning the award for Best Trick, a remarkable accomplishment for one so young.
This triumph led to Ben's starring role in the WFPF hit series MTV's "Ultimate Parkour Challenge," where, at the age of eighteen, he astonished global audiences by emerging victorious. This achievement catapulted Ben to international recognition, paving the way for his subsequent appearances in films such as Fast and Furious 8, Jungle Book, Guardians of the Galaxy, and many more. Ben has also doubled for some of Hollywood's most prominent actors, including Jason Statham, Mathew McConaughey, James Franco, Ewan McGregor, and Scott Eastwood.
