Biography

Ben Jehoshua's journey began in the vibrant city of Haifa, Israel, where he grew up in the 1980s with a passion for storytelling through video production and editing. As a teenager, he was already producing music videos and experimental shorts, showcasing his creativity and technical skills.

At just 16 years old, Ben was hired to direct a scripted project featuring 5th graders from a local Jewish academy. The archeology-themed film, complete with special effects, was shot in the tunnels beneath Jerusalem and the ancient city of Akre, and premiered to an enthusiastic crowd of parents. This early success sparked a desire to teach others about filmmaking, and Ben spent the next two years mentoring kids in video production and editing.

In 1993, Ben made the bold decision to relocate to Los Angeles, where he enrolled at Columbia College Hollywood. While in college, he continued to hone his skills as a director, producing a series of independent music videos and securing a job as a video editor at Campos Creative Works, a creative agency in Santa Monica.

Ben's freelance work as a TV editor saw him cutting his teeth on a variety of shows, including Unsolved Mysteries, The Great Lifetime Makeover, and Intimate Escapes. After graduating, he co-founded Image Line Productions with two partners, and the company quickly established itself as a go-to production outfit for high-end presentations and commercials.

Ben's impressive resume includes work with major brands like Honda, Intel, Microsoft, and Chevron, as well as numerous toy commercials for clients like Mattel and MGA Entertainment. He also had the opportunity to edit for the 2006 Oscars and the 2009 Emmy's.

In 2009, Ben began working in development and editing for reality television, freelancing as a producer and editor before being tapped as a Vice President of Development for Brian Graden Media in 2014. This role put him in charge of production teams developing shows for the company.

Ben's directorial debut came in 2014 with the feature film The Chosen, which he co-wrote with two partners and starred Kian Lawely. He has since been engaged in writing feature projects with several partners, eagerly awaiting the perfect opportunity to bring his unique storytelling skills to the big screen.
