Ben Hickernell, a multi-talented filmmaker, has garnered recognition for his work as a director, producer, writer, and editor on various feature films and projects. Having spent a significant portion of his life on the east coast, Ben now resides in Los Angeles, while maintaining strong connections to his east coast roots.
Ben's directorial debut, Lebanon, Pa., premiered at the SXSW festival and went on to win the Best Fiction Film award at the Traverse City Film Festival. The film was subsequently released theatrically in 20 cities in 2011, followed by ancillary releases and a Showtime premiere.
His second feature, Backwards, was released theatrically in 2012 and distributed by Phase 4 Films. The third feature, A Rising Tide, premiered at the Seattle International Film Festival and has been distributed in over 35 territories worldwide.
Ben's fourth feature, What We Found, has completed post-production and is slated to premiere this fall.
