Her father, Sir Blair Stewart-Wilson, is a distinguished British Army officer. Throughout her childhood, Belinda's family relocated to various military postings in the UK, Germany, and Austria before eventually settling in London.

Belinda's educational background includes attendance at Hurst Lodge School in Ascot, Berkshire, and subsequent training at the esteemed Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London.
