Beatriz Godinho is a talented Portuguese actress, whose journey in the performing arts began with a strong foundation in classical ballet, which she studied from a very young age. She went on to pursue a professional dance career until 2012, before transitioning to acting.
Godinho's passion for acting led her to train at Academia Contemporânea do Espectáculo in Porto, and shortly after, she began her professional acting career in theatre. Her fluency in English allowed her to attend the prestigious One-Year Acting Course at The Academy of the Science of Acting and Directing in London.
She furthered her education by completing a BA in Acting from Lisbon's Theatre and Film School in 2015. After graduation, Godinho continued to hone her craft by working with renowned coaches, including Michael Margotta, Charlie Sandlan, Tom Todoroff, and Cathleen McCarron.
Throughout her career, Godinho has appeared in numerous Portuguese series and films, including the main cast in the TV movie O Sítio da Mulher Morta (2021) and the short film Cenas de Uma Vida Amorosa (2019). Her impressive repertoire also includes a role in the Netflix anthology series Love, Death & Robots (2019-),for which her episode Love, Death & Robots: Ice won the Emmy for outstanding short form animated program.
In recent years, Godinho has taken on more prominent roles, including the lead in Cuba Libre (2022),a TV Mini-Series based on the extraordinary biography of Annie Silva Pais, the only child of the director of Salazar's Portuguese political police who left her family to join the Cuban revolution, while secretly being in love with Che Guevara.
