Barry Warren, a renowned thespian, was born in the vibrant city of London on July 12, 1933. Following his departure from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, he embarked on a prestigious journey, gracing the stages of Stratford-on-Avon for two consecutive seasons. During his inaugural appearance in 1956, he played a pivotal role, merely "carrying a spear." However, his subsequent season in 1957 was a significant milestone, as he took on the challenging roles of the Dauphine in KING JOHN and Lucius in JULIUS CAESAR. Warren's foray into the world of cinema began with a notable performance as Donaldblain in Maurice Evans' screen adaptation of MacBETH. In 1962, he ventured to Spain to feature in his second film, LAWRENCE OF ARABIA, a cinematic masterpiece that showcased his remarkable versatility. Warren recalled his experience, "I portrayed three distinct characters - a British officer adorned with a moustache, a British officer sans moustache, and an Arab Sheik!" His personal life was marked by a loving marriage to Shirley Bidmead, sister of the accomplished actress Stephanie Bidmead, with whom he shared two sons, Christopher and Jonathan.
